Chartora

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 27, 2026

This policy explains how Chartora handles information when you use its educational chart-analysis, learning, history, subscription, and notification features.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Chartora is an educational chart-reading application. For privacy questions, requests to access or delete data, or to withdraw consent, contact us at ascentsupports@gmail.com.

2. Information we handle

Chart-analysis content

When you choose to analyze a chart, you voluntarily submit a chart image, an optional note, a selected timeframe, and a requested response language. The image may contain information visible in the screenshot, so do not submit content that you do not want processed.

Technical and security data

To operate the analysis service and prevent abuse, the app sends a randomly generated installation identifier and the app version. This identifier is not the advertising identifier (IDFA), is not used for advertising, and is not combined by Chartora with a name, email address, contacts, or other account information. Our infrastructure providers may also process standard connection information, such as IP address and request metadata, to deliver and secure the service.

Subscription data

Apple processes payments for Chartora Pro. We do not receive or store payment-card information. The app uses Adapty to retrieve an anonymous subscription profile and subscription entitlement or purchase status so it can unlock Pro features and restore purchases.

Data stored on your device

Chartora stores learning progress, app preferences, the disclosure acknowledgement, subscription-status cache, and chart-analysis history on your device. History can include the selected chart image and the resulting analysis. You can delete individual history entries from the History screen or remove the app to remove app-local data, subject to any device backup settings you control.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Chartora may schedule local on-device reminders after you skip the Pro offer. Chartora does not currently use remote push-notification tokens for this feature.

3. How we use information

We do not sell personal data, serve third-party advertising, use the IDFA, or use submitted chart content for behavioural advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Service providers and sharing

We share only the information needed to operate the relevant feature with these providers:

We require service providers to handle user information only as needed to provide their services and with protections consistent with this policy and applicable law. We do not share data with data brokers.

5. Retention and deletion

Chart images, notes, and analysis inputs are transmitted only to fulfill the analysis request. Chartora does not intentionally persist them on its API after returning a result. The locally saved history remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Temporary security and rate-limit records are retained only as needed to protect the service; infrastructure providers may retain limited operational metadata under their own documented retention practices.

To request help with deletion or another privacy request, email ascentsupports@gmail.com from an address where we can reply. Because Chartora does not require an account, we may need information about the device, approximate date, or feature used to locate any information that is reasonably identifiable and held by us.

6. Your choices

You may choose not to submit a chart for AI analysis, delete local history, manage notifications in iOS Settings, and manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account. See Privacy Choices for the in-app controls and request process.

7. International processing and security

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. We use encrypted network connections and limit access to information to the extent needed to provide the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information in chart images or notes.

8. Children

Chartora is not directed to children under 13 and is not made for the Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will review the request.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. We will publish the updated version at this URL and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the app where required by law.
